Use this option to search for files that have or do not have a specific creator signature. A the value is automatically added to the
Creator pop-up menu when used in a search.
To search for files with no creator, simply leave the text box empty.
Files in Mac OS X are not required to have a creator, and a file can be set to open in a different application than that specified by its creator signature using the “Open with” panel of a Finder Get Info window. As a result, a search for file with a particular creator will not necessarily locate all files which open in the application that owns that creator signature.
